For our international customer we are looking for a Building Maintenance Coordinator by performing assigned tasks related to facilities services and building maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day facilities operations at the GCL Brussels location, including but not limited to equipment repair and maintenance, site security, and cleaning.
- Serve as a back-up for the Receptionist.
- Conduct daily building checks and inspections, addressing any issues that arise.
- Anticipate and respond to building or equipment maintenance tasks, including completing work requests, scheduled routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Supervise contractors and the execution of planned maintenance and contracted services.
- Assist with ordering supplies and managing inventories.
- Perform document storage in line with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements.
- Ensure compliance with facilities policies and procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and facilities management.
- Act as a point of contact for other departments.
- Respond to facility-related emergencies as assigned.
- Participate in the on-call rotational schedule for REES.
- Support facilities project work as needed.
- Provide support with health and safety matters as required.
Profile:
- High/Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. Previous experience in a similar environment is a plus. In some cases, a combination of appropriate education, training, and directly related experience may be considered sufficient.
- Thorough understanding of office equipment and machinery. Technical knowledge (HVAC, electricity) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective multi-tasker with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Dutch; good knowledge of French is a plus.
- Team player with strong MS Office skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Flexibility in a fast-moving and challenging office environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and utilize time efficiently.
- Accuracy and business awareness.
